Hi it's Twistered with a pet post from the Daily Explorer
Pet hummingbirds are the newest addition to the pets of Jamaa!
Did you know that Hummingbirds are the smallest birds in the world?
At rest their heart beats 250 times per minute. When flying it can beat as fast as 1,260 times per minute! Their wings also flap fast, about 80 times per second! It takes a lot of energy to be this fast and hummingbirds need a lot of food.
Hummingbirds can remember where every flower they visit is growing. They also know how long it takes for that flower to renew its nectar after they drink it all up!
Their long beaks help them get to center of the flowers they like to eat and they lap up the nectar with their tongues!
Thanks for reading
